DEV LOG / EPISODE 4 / WEEK 1

Everywhere I Go I See His Face

Good evening, fellow pervs.

I decided to shift the dev log to a later time slot so I could actually compose myself rather than rushing one out before work. This brings the added benefit of a carefully crafted narrative about the progress made each week. Instead of the usual drivel, you will now receive a more considered and mentally focused...

Who the fuck am I kidding? Regardless of what time I write this, you're still getting an unrestrained stream of consciousness.

It's Tuesday. Pull up a chair and get ready for your weekly dose of incoherent abuse.

So, first week. What did you do, motherfucker?

I got 128 renders done, fought my desire to stick my head in an air fryer, and witnessed many, oh so many, software crashes.

I also upgraded my RAM.

"RAM? In this economy? Are you a madman?"

Yes.

Moving on.

In Blender, I dealt with skin looking like absolute dogshit. In Daz, I dealt with completely unprovoked meltdowns akin to a toddler hyped up on an entire pack of Warheads. I got through most of that and came out the other side. Admittedly worse for wear, but still kicking.

The good news is that the first scene is done and a good start has been made on the second scene of Episode 4.

Time for a quiet moment now. It's time for you all to sit down and consider Uncle Bat's feelings.

It's hard being a dev. You have to watch people rip apart your work on the internet on a regular basis, and it hurts. It digs deep into your core and makes you realise you're not quite as much of a sociopath as you originally thought.

It is some of those hurtful words about my characters that have made me decide to remaster the entire game with a new MC design (see below). I feel that if the MC was more of a weedy emo kid with no partner and ample room for his morbid personality to drown out any fun the game might have, people would be much happier.

I'm just fucking with you.

I don't have feelings.

Although this is a sneak peek. Don't worry, it will all make sense in due time.

Anyway, that's enough bullshit for this week.

Give your Uncle Bat a kiss on the cheek now.
