DEV LOG / EPISODE 4 / WEEK 11

Welcome to the Grid

What up, fellow identity disc wielders. This week we're going in. I found a back door and it's time to dive deep into the system and discover what ya boy's been up to this week. We got Lemon along for the ride, so hop on your light cycle and let's ruin ENCOM's Christmas party together.

Writing Up a Storm

First thing I did last week was add yet more content to this update. Hear me out though, because it's a fun one. It's with one of the original side girls, and I was first going to gate it behind a choice that would have been made all the way back in Episode One. But I fought my evil inclinations to bring this scene to the masses. It's mostly due to the scene itself earning its space in the story, and there are parts of it I just don't want people to miss. So, something else to look forward to.

Leaving the Real World Behind

I locked in super hard to build out a few essential environments for the episode again last week, and whilst this did take up some time, it didn't crush my week thanks to having the time off my day job to get this shit done. I did, however, fuck up the crowd sim I was using at one point, creating a nightmarish creature that will haunt my dreams and potentially leave an everlasting mark on my already high levels of respect for tentacles.

Is It Supposed to Smoke Like That?

My 5090 has been churning away through last week's renders, which is good because I have another 150 renders to throw at it when it's done with those. I spent the weekend alone since my wife went away, and whilst that meant I had a permanent work companion in the shape of my puppy, it was a little distracting to say the least. He's very needy and may be looking for a new home if he chews my guitar strap again.

Let's Go Insane!

I'm so behind on animation it's not even funny. I have two pretty big animations to do and a few lewd animations that will be added to that pile very soon. I am going to have to turn my attention to them at some point this week. I can't keep putting them off like I do going outside. These actually matter.

Anyway, that's all from me this week, folks. A quick one because I'm eager to get back to it.

Don't forget to water your dog and take your plants for a walk.

Peace
